Colerain Township, settled in 1790, has an interesting and significant history in this Southwest Ohio area, from its early pioneers at Dunlap’s Station and Ft. Coleraine, to today’s citizens.

Dunlap’s Station was an early defense for the settlers in this area. Then as Colerain developed with towns like Bevis, Barnsburg, Groesbeck, and Dunlap, Colerain was the major route of commerce for farms and industry traveling to Cincinnati from the Northwest lands of Ohio, Eastern Indiana and later Illinois.

From early hotels, schools and churches to airports, manufacturing, and research.  Colerain has been and is today an area important to the lives of everyone in Southwest Ohio.
